This design was done with India ink. I tried the pointillism(dots) coloring technique here that is used by some new-school tattoo artists. While my attempt at pointillism here wasn't perfect, I can definitely appreciate how easy it is to use as a shading method!

I used my (growing!) skull collection as reference for the skulls, which adds a nice personal touch to the design. The wild roses were inspired by stock images and photography from a variety of online sources.

A fun fact about this picture is that the black circle is not just a stylistic choice: it is actually primarily a giant cover-up for a coloring mistake!
